Terms of service

openagent.email is free, open-source software with an optional hosted service. These terms cover the use of this website, the software, and the hosted service.

The software

openagent.email is released under the Apache License 2.0. You may use, modify, and distribute it under the terms of that license. The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind.

Your responsibility as an operator

When you self-host openagent.email, you operate your own mail server. That means deliverability, IP and domain reputation, and compliance with applicable anti-spam and email laws are your responsibility, not ours. Don't use the software to send unsolicited bulk email.

Hosted Pro (coming soon)

Our optional hosted service is offered on a subscription basis. When it launches, the following applies:

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly in USD through a Merchant of Record, which is the seller of record for tax and payment purposes. Prices are listed on the pricing page; early-bird pricing is locked at signup and honored for the lifetime of an uninterrupted subscription.
• New subscriptions start with a free 3-day trial. You can cancel anytime; the service runs until the end of the paid period.
• Refunds: subscription fees are generally non-refundable. You can cancel anytime; the service runs until the end of the current paid period. Where a refund is required by applicable law, it will be issued through the Merchant of Record.
• The hosted service may only be used for lawful email activity. If you breach these terms (including spam, abuse, or unlawful use), we may suspend or terminate your access immediately, and you remain liable for any charges already incurred.
• The hosted service is provided "as is" during the early-access period. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

This website

The content on this site is provided for general information. We may change or remove it at any time. Links to third-party sites (GitHub, npm, and others) are provided for convenience; we're not responsible for their content.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the openagent.email project and its contributors are not liable for any damages arising from the use of the software, the hosted service, or this website.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and disputes will be resolved in the courts of Singapore.
