Privacy policy

The short version: the openagent.email software runs on your server, so your mail data never touches ours. This website collects no personal data and uses no tracking cookies.
The software
openagent.email is self-hosted. Every mailbox, message, and token lives on infrastructure you own and control. The software contains no telemetry, no analytics, and no "phone home" behavior of any kind. We never see your mail — we couldn't if we wanted to.
This website
- No accounts, no sign-ups, no forms that collect personal information.
- No advertising, no third-party trackers, no cross-site tracking.
- We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, hosted on our own server. It records anonymous, aggregate page-view statistics (which pages are visited, roughly where from, and what kind of device). It sets no cookies, stores no IP addresses, and cannot identify you.
Hosted Pro (coming soon)
We are preparing an optional hosted service for people who don't want to run their own server. If you join the waitlist or subscribe later, the following applies:
- Waitlist sign-ups are by email only. We store your address solely to contact you about the launch, and delete it on request.
- On the hosted service, your mailboxes live on servers we operate. We access them only to run, secure, and troubleshoot the service. We never read your mail for advertising, never sell your data, and never share it except with the infrastructure and payment providers needed to deliver the service.
- Payments are processed by a Merchant of Record; we never see or store your full card details.
- You can export your data and delete your account at any time.
If you email us
If you write to support@openagent.email, we use your address only to reply to you. We don't add it to marketing lists, sell it, or share it.
Third-party services
Our source code is hosted on GitHub and our packages are distributed via the npm registry. When you use those services, their own privacy policies apply.
Changes
